An introduction of our teachers to you, what classes they teach and a bit of info to help you feel just a bit more familiar with them before class starts.
Owner of The Magick Candle. Teaches and writes many of our classes. Has been a part of this community for 36+ years. Jan is a healer, teacher, and minister. Actively involved in bettering the community with the services & ministries she is involved in - Coburn Place, Gaia Works, the Food Pantry (based in the shop) and SO much more.
Teaches Magick 101, Year of the Herb, Chakra, Feng Shui, meditation, among many other things. She is the secretary of Gaia Works Inc. She is an herbalist and Reiki Master whose energy work exudes generous amounts of love, kindness, and strength. She has been with The Magick Candle for 13 years and teaching for 8 of those. Deb is a Certified Adult Educator and has been educating in the Healthcare field for 29 years.
Reverend Rita Harmon comes from a Native American Shamanism background and majored in philosophy and theology in college. Rita is a registered nurse that specialized in critical care and then psychiatric nursing. She has studied with Dianic, Shamanistic, and spiritual practioners. Rita has been teaching at The Magic Candle for 10 years and teaches 2 year long Mystery Schools, Alchemy, History and Symbols classes.
I am a Spiritualist, Empathic Timeline Tarot Reader and teacher of the Tarot. I have been reading for 37 years. I'm in the process of finalizing my first novel, which was inspired by the things I have seen and learned at The Magic Candle.
Teacher of the Goddess Class - the 8-12 week course. Crystal has been teaching at The Magic Candle for 3 years focusing in The Goddess Class, gnomes, and elements. She is a certified Activities Director specializing in Dementia and has a great passion for elder care.
Reverend Bonnie Darby did her religious studies through the Morris Pratt Institute, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and received her ordination through the National Spiritualist Association of Churches, Inc. (NSAC), Lily Dale, New York. She is a credentialed NSAC Teacher in the Science, Philosophy and Religion of Spiritualism; and a certified NSAC Medium. Bonnie received a Core Life Coach certification from Life Coach Dane & Company, Plainfield, Indiana. She volunteers as the Pastor of a local Spiritualist Church.

Angie's List Magazine ran a 2 page spread on him. He has appeared on various radio and TV shows throughout the country, including the Denny Smith show on WIBC and Channel 6 evening news with a segment on 11/11/11. He was the host of Numerology Plus, an hour show in Phoenix, AZ and Providence, RI.
Rev Bill Duvendack
Bill Duvendack is an ordained independent Spiritualist minister who is an internationally known psychic, presenter, and author. He has presented in many venues, ranging from colleges and high schools to hotels and national conferences. His first full book “Vocal Magick” came out in April 2015, and has had a dozen essays published in a variety of anthologies. His magical writings have been translated into 6 different languages. He regularly teaches classes on magick, astrology, and modern spirituality locally and via webinars. He has been interviewed by the NY Times, RTE 1, and has made many TV appearances.
